BAMBOO FLOORING

A Bamboo Floor is a type of flooring manufactured from the bamboo plant (grass). Most common in China and other portions of Asia. Bamboo is an attractive alternative for flooring because of its physical similarities to hardwoods. Bamboo floor is known for its strength and durability as well as its resistance to insects and moisture. Bamboo floors are typically made available in planks with either vertical- or horizontal-grain orientation.

Strand woven bamboo is one of the most stable natural resources that can be used just like wood for indoors and outdoors and is an excellent alternative to using the tropical hard woods. Bamboo has a higher fibre rating than any hard wood, which gives it exceptional hard-wearing qualities. The durability and toughness of strand woven bamboo makes it very hard to beat when used in high traffic areas.

The Moso Strand woven bamboo flooring is the second hardest bamboo flooring in the world, possessing higher density and rigidity than the traditional bamboo and wood flooring. Strand bamboo is the best defense against high heels in flooring. Its distinct grain resembles that of traditional hardwoods like oak and sandalwood. Sustainable and renewable, regenerates 8 times faster than hardwood. Moso bamboo with 5-7 years maturity has superior strength. No splitting or cracking. Strand woven bamboo is water proof and moisture resistant, which can greatly increase the life span of your floor compared to wooden flooring. Warm in winter and cool in Summer. This flooring complies with the LEED, a green building standard.
